Seedance 2.5 Pricing: Cost per Video, Draft Mode and How to Save

Oct 25, 2026

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's newest AI video model, and its price depends on three things: how long the clip is, its resolution, and whether the model has to process video you upload. This guide gives the exact cost of common Seedance 2.5 videos, explains how draft mode, editing and extending are billed, and shows how to keep costs down.

All prices are what you pay on SeeVid, where Seedance 2.5 runs in the browser with no API key or ByteDance account.

How Seedance 2.5 Is Priced

SeeVid uses credits. Every generation shows its cost on the Generate button before you start, and failed generations are refunded automatically. Seedance 2.5 is billed per second of output, at a rate that depends on resolution:

ResolutionCredits per second (approx.)
480p8.4
720p18
1080p32.5

Native audio is included at no extra cost.

Cost of Common Seedance 2.5 Videos

10 seconds84 credits181 credits325 credits
15 seconds126 credits271 credits488 credits
30 seconds252 credits542 credits976 credits

Auto duration lets the model choose the length. Because the length isn't known in advance, Auto is billed as a 20-second clip (362 credits at 720p). If the shot needs less than 20 seconds, picking a fixed duration is cheaper.

What Is a Credit Worth?

The dollar value of a credit depends on your plan:

PlanPrice per credit5 s at 720p (90 credits)30 s at 720p (542 credits)
Basic pack ($20 / 800 credits)$0.025≈ $2.25≈ $13.55
Pro pack ($40 / 1,800 credits)$0.022≈ $2.00≈ $12.04
Studio pack ($280 / 14,000 credits)$0.020≈ $1.80≈ $10.84
Pro monthly ($40 / 2,000 credits)$0.020≈ $1.80≈ $10.84
Studio annual (144,000 credits / year)≈ $0.015≈ $1.32≈ $7.95

Draft Mode: When It Saves Money

With Draft on, Seedance 2.5 renders a 480p preview at the 480p price. If you like it, you can upgrade that exact video to 1080p within 24 hours; the upgrade costs the 1080p price for the draft's length.

Credits for a 5-second clip
Draft (480p)42
Upgrade the draft to 1080p+ 163
Generate 1080p directly163

So a single kept take costs a little more through a draft (205 vs 163 credits). Draft mode pays off when you try several takes before keeping one:

  • Three drafts, upgrade the best: 3 × 42 + 163 = 289 credits
  • Three takes straight at 1080p: 3 × 163 = 489 credits

The upgrade also gives you the same take in 1080p, which regenerating at a higher resolution can't guarantee.

Reference Videos, Editing and Extending

Reference images and reference audio are free. Video you upload is billed, at a lower per-second rate than output, because the model has to process it. On SeeVid the formula is (longer of input or output + output seconds) × reference rate, and the button shows the total. Typical costs at 720p:

TaskCredits
5 s clip following a 5 s reference video110
Edit a 10 s clip (AI Video Editor)220
Extend a 10 s clip by 5 s (AI Video Extender)165

Trim uploaded clips to the part you need: shorter input means a lower price.

Web search in text-to-video is off by default and billed only if a search actually runs.

Seedance 2.5 is not the cheapest per second. You pay for 30-second continuous takes, up to 30 reference images and 10 reference videos, and editing and extending in the same model.

How to Save Credits

  1. Draft first. Explore with 480p drafts and upgrade only the takes you keep.
  2. Start short. Lock the prompt with a 5-second test, then raise the duration.
  3. Use the right model for the job. For clips up to 15 seconds without heavy references, Seedance 2.0, Fast or Mini costs less.
  4. Trim uploaded videos. Reference, edit and extend inputs are billed by length.
  5. Edit instead of regenerating. To change one product or background, the AI Video Editor keeps the rest of the shot instead of rolling a new take.
  6. Pick a plan that fits your volume. Annual plans bring a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip to about $1.32.
